A mixed sheet that draws letters from the whole alphabet prints from 3rd grade cursive alphabet.
How to teach this
Capital L starts a little below the top line on the left. Swing right and up into a loop at the top, come down a long slant to the bottom line, make a small loop at the bottom on the left, then sweep right along the bottom line and finish up and out. That last stroke joins the next letter. Lowercase l starts on the bottom line. Swing up and to the right into a tall loop that touches the top line, come straight down to the bottom line and flick out. Keep the loop open: a loop squeezed shut turns the l into a plain line, and a loop that stops at the middle line is an e.
Watch for: A lowercase l loop that only reaches the middle line, which reads as an e. The l goes all the way to the top line. Capital L with no bottom loop, so it looks like a print L with a tail. The small loop at the bottom left is where the stroke turns.
Common questions about cursive L
