One page for every cursive letter

Each cursive letter has its own page, with how the capital and the lowercase are formed and a sheet of that one letter to trace.

What's on each sheet

Every version prints on US Letter or A4, with its answer key on the last page.

A mixed sheet that draws letters from the whole alphabet prints from 3rd grade cursive alphabet.

How to teach this

Capital F takes three strokes. First the wave across the top: start a little below the top line on the left, curve up, and run right along the top line with a small dip. Then the stem: start on the wave, slide down to the bottom line, curve left and back up, and end with a short stroke to the right. Last, a short bar across the stem at the middle line. Some charts make the stem before the wave; either order works if it is the same every time. Lowercase f is one stroke. Start on the bottom line, swing up into a tall loop that touches the top line, come straight down through the bottom line into a loop below it, then curve up the right side of that loop to close it about halfway between the bottom line and the middle line, and finish with a short stroke out to the right. That stroke is where the next letter joins.

Watch for: Capital F with no bar. Without it the F reads as a T. Check the bar at the middle line on every one. Lowercase f's bottom loop swung to the left, like a g. The f's bottom loop comes back up on the right.

Common questions about cursive F

What is the difference between cursive F and cursive T?
The bar. Both have a top stroke and a stem that curls left at the bottom, and the F also has a short bar across the stem at the middle line. In this style the tops differ too: F's is a wave, T's runs flat.
Where does the bottom loop of cursive f close?
Higher than most loops, about halfway between the bottom line and the middle line, on the right of the stem. The short stroke out of it is where the next letter starts.
