The kind of problems you'll get

Solve each problem. Write your answer on the line.

  1. 9 × 9 =

    Answer: 81

  2. 5 × 8 =
  3. 4 × 1 =

Every print pulls a fresh set of problems at this level, so a make-up test or a second sibling never gets the same sheet.

What's on each sheet

Every version prints on US Letter or A4, with its answer key on the last page.

How to teach this

Use a steady rhythm: read the problem, pause, answer, check. Mix easy and hard facts on the same page so confidence stays high. Celebrate accurate answers before pushing for speed.

Watch for: Kids assume multiplying always makes numbers bigger, but 0 × 8 = 0 and 1 × 8 = 8 break that rule, so watch the zeros and ones. Kids treat 3 × 7 and 7 × 3 as different problems. The order never changes the product, so learning one fact gives you both.
