3rd grade 11 times table worksheets

Tap to see another sample sheet. The picture follows the difficulty you pick.

Every problem on these sheets is from the 11 times table, 11 × 0 through 11 × 12, shuffled so your child recalls each fact rather than counting down the list. Third graders use one-table sheets to fix a single table before mixing it with the rest.

How to teach this

Most of the 11s are a gift: repeat the digit. Spend the time on the two facts that break the pattern, 11 × 11 = 121 and 11 × 12 = 132, and show that they are 10 × 11 + 11 and 10 × 12 + 12. That same 'tens plus ones' idea is how the 12s are built.

Watch for: Kids write 11 × 11 as 1111. The repeating pattern stops at 11 × 9; 11 × 11 = 121 and 11 × 12 = 132 are facts. Kids treat 11 × 0 as 11. Zero times anything is zero.

Common questions about 3rd grade 11 times table

What is the pattern in the 11 times table?
For 1 to 9, the digit repeats: 11 × 7 = 77. After that, 11 × 10 = 110, 11 × 11 = 121, 11 × 12 = 132.
Are the facts shuffled?
Yes, every print. In-order chanting would make the repeating pattern too easy to lean on.
