How to teach this

Act every pair with your body and voice: say glad with a smile, THRILLED with jazz hands. The body remembers the volume difference long after the sort is done.

Watch for: Strong words are not better words: a whisper-word in the right spot beats a shout-word in the wrong one. The skill is knowing the volume, then choosing it. These pairs are teammates, not synonym-flashcards: each strong word is the everyday word intensified, and hearing the step up is the point of the sort.
