What's on each sheet
- Sorting. Write each word from the bank in the correct column. 14 words per page.
Every version prints on US Letter or A4, with its answer key on the last page.
How to teach this
After sorting, pick one pair and use both in sentences about the same day: I was glad to see the bus. I was thrilled to see the snow. Discussing why each fits builds the choosing muscle.
Watch for: Strong words are not better words: a whisper-word in the right spot beats a shout-word in the wrong one. The skill is knowing the volume, then choosing it. These pairs are teammates, not synonym-flashcards: each strong word is the everyday word intensified, and hearing the step up is the point of the sort.
