Each print is a different sheet with its own answer key. You don't need to sign up.

Every problem on these sheets needs a carry. Second graders add two two-digit numbers, get ten or more in the ones column, write the ones digit and move the ten over. The stacked layout keeps the columns straight while the habit forms.

  2. 3rd grade

    Examples and teaching notes

Third graders add three-digit numbers where the ones, the tens, or both make ten or more. Every problem regroups at least once, so your child practises carrying into the tens and the hundreds instead of hoping the columns stay small.

  3. 4th grade

    Examples and teaching notes

Fourth graders add four-digit numbers with a carry in at least one column, and often two or three. The point is fluency with the standard algorithm on numbers big enough that place value has to be tracked, not guessed.
