Each word appears twice in light gray for tracing, then once as a blank line for writing it without help.
Every print pulls a fresh set of word lists at this level, so a make-up test or a second sibling never gets the same sheet.
What's on each sheet
- Tracing. Trace each number two times. Then write it yourself. 6 words per page.
- Fluency. Count the dots. Write the number. 8 questions per page.
Every version prints on US Letter or A4, with a word list on the last page.
How to teach this
Sit beside your child for the first row and narrate the strokes: "start at the top, pull down." Two or three careful lines beat a whole rushed page. On the counting page, have them touch each dot as they count so the written numeral always matches a real amount.
Watch for: Kids reverse numbers like 3, 5, and 7. Reversals are normal at this age, so calmly write the number for them to copy rather than correcting every slip. Kids count the same dot twice or skip one. Have them touch each dot as they say the number, then write the last number they said.
Common questions about writing numbers 0–20
- My child writes some numbers backwards. Should I worry?
- No. Reversals are typical through kindergarten and usually fade with practice. Point to the dashed model and let them trace it again rather than correcting every slip.
- Which numbers do these sheets cover?
- The numerals 0 through 20, matching the kindergarten standard. Every print mixes a fresh set, so tricky numbers like the teens keep coming back.
