What's on each sheet
- Fluency. Solve each problem. Write your answer on the line. 25 questions per page.
- Mad-Minute Grid. Solve as many as you can. Write each answer under its problem. 25 questions per page.
Every version prints on US Letter or A4, with its answer key on the last page.
How to teach this
Use the page as a two-minute warm-up before homework rather than a big sitting. Have your child mark any problem that took more than a few seconds, then retest just those facts tomorrow. Keep the mood light. This is maintenance, not a test.
Watch for: Kids see two numbers and add out of habit. Point at the sign and name the operation before starting each problem. Kids treat division facts as brand-new learning. Every division fact is a multiplication fact turned around, so 42 ÷ 7 comes straight from 7 × 6.
Common questions about mixed operations review
- Can I use this as a mad minute?
- Yes. The grid layout works exactly like a classic mad minute page. Time one minute, count correct answers, and print a fresh sheet tomorrow to beat the score.
- My 4th grader knows these facts. What's the point?
- Knowing and instant recall are different things, and multi-digit multiplication leans on instant recall. A short mixed page keeps facts fast while class moves on.
