3rd grade mixed operations review worksheets
Mixed operations worksheets shuffle addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts onto one page, so third graders can't coast on a single operation. The real skill is reading the sign first: twenty fact-level problems where the operation changes line to line.

- Fluency. Solve each problem. Write your answer on the line. 25 questions per page.
- Mad-Minute Grid. Solve as many as you can. Write each answer under its problem. 25 questions per page.
Every version prints on US Letter or A4, with its answer key on the last page.
How to teach this
Start with a sign hunt: have your child circle every × and ÷ on the page before solving anything. Work for accuracy first and let speed come later. If one operation keeps missing, drill that one alone for a day, then return to the mixed page.
Watch for: Kids see two numbers and add out of habit. Point at the sign and name the operation before starting each problem. Kids treat division facts as brand-new learning. Every division fact is a multiplication fact turned around, so 42 ÷ 7 comes straight from 7 × 6.
Common questions about mixed operations review
- Why mix all four operations on one page?
- Because single-operation pages let kids stop reading the signs. Mixing forces the check-the-sign habit, which is where most careless errors actually come from.
- How many problems does a 3rd grade sheet have?
- Twenty fact-level problems drawn from the 0 to 12 range, in a fresh mix every time you print.
