Grade 5 decimal word problems cover all four operations with money and measurements: adding and subtracting amounts with two decimal places, multiplying a decimal by a whole number, and sharing a decimal amount into equal groups, per 5.NBT.B.7. Every answer lands on a clean tenth or hundredth.

Grade 6 shifts the stories to rates and areas: a speed times a time, a rectangle's decimal side lengths, a total split by measurement, and unit rates like liters per minute, per 6.NS.B.3. Some answers keep a final zero on purpose, like 0.10, when the place value matters to the story.
