2-digit by 1-digit multiplication worksheets

Each print is a different sheet with its own answer key. You don't need to sign up.

Multiply the ones first, carry if you need to, then multiply the tens and add the carry.

Two grades, each its own sheet. Print one here, or open a grade for examples and teaching notes.

Print by grade

  1. 3rd grade

    Examples and teaching notes

Third graders meet the first multi-digit multiplication: a two-digit number times a single digit, stacked. The sheet keeps to one shape so the only new idea is the carry between the ones and the tens.

  2. 4th grade Core grade

    Examples and teaching notes

Each print is a different sheet with its own answer key. You don't need to sign up.

Fourth graders multiply two-digit numbers by one-digit numbers with a carry in every problem. It is the on-level shape for the standard algorithm before two-digit by two-digit, and the sheet keeps to it alone.
