Relative pronouns and adverbs worksheets

Each print is a different sheet with its own answer key. You don't need to sign up.

Relative pronouns glue a description onto a noun: who for people, which for things (with commas), that for things and sometimes people (no commas), whose for belonging, where and when for places and times.

Two grades, one set of sentences: both print from the same 40. Print one here, or open a grade for examples and teaching notes.

Fourth graders choose and write the relative pronoun each sentence needs: who, which, that, whose. The noun before the blank (person or thing, owner or not) makes the call.

Fifth graders add the relative adverbs where and when for places and times, and handle comma-marked which-clauses against plain that-clauses.
